Renovation works of the stations along the Ebes – Püspökladány railway line have been commenced last year, within the confines of the project the railway stations of Ebes, Kaba and Hajdúszoboszló will be renewed.

Dryvit Profi Kft. was assigned to renovate the entrance building, as well as to constuct a new service building, a subway and canopies for the platform in Ebes.

The canopies are already installed, the insulation and the bottom cladding of it is still need to be done.

Regarding the new service building we are performing the finishing works at the moment.

The curiosity of the entrance building is that the MÁV intends to renovate the elevation according to the plans made by its own designer office in 1892, so the altered building will be restored to its original appearance.

General project manager, Zoltán Kiss was asked about the renovation:

„The recovery is being performed in two phases, currently we are at the first phase, creating the lodgings, recovering the roof and the facade, besides we are turning the waiting hall into a new station office.

The control equipment will be installed here.

Then comes the second phase, in which the current station office is going to be turned into a passenger waiting hall.

During that temporary period, while the new waiting hall will be under construction, passenger traffic will take place in temporary containers, but without interruption. ”

Meanwhile, the construction of the subway is going on, soon the tiling work will follow.
